neurosarcoidosis

neurosarcoidosis /-sär′koidō″sis/ , a granulomatous disease that may involve any part of the nervous system but most commonly affects the cranial and spinal nerves. Cranial nerve involvement may result in facial paralysis, whereas spinal nerve involvement may manifest as mononeuritis multiplex. If the central nervous system is affected, the vasculature of the brain may be damaged, resulting in stroke.
