neurocirculatory asthenia /-sur′kyələtôr″ē/ [Gk, neuron + L, circulare, to go around; Gk, a + sthenos, without strength] , a psychosomatic disorder characterized by nervous and circulatory irregularities, including dyspnea, palpitation, giddiness, vertigo, tremor, precordial pain, and increased susceptibility to fatigue. The symptoms often result from or are associated with psychological stress.
