National Center on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NCMHD), an institute of the U.S. National Institutes of Health whose mission is to reduce and ultimately eliminate health disparities between racial and ethnic minorities (and other groups, such as the urban and rural poor) and society as a whole. It does this by conducting and supporting basic, clinical, and behavioral research and by offering emerging programs, training, and information dissemination in this area.
