Krukenberg’s tumor /kro̅o̅″kənbərgz/ [Friedrich E. Krukenberg, German pathologist, 1871–1946] , a neoplasm of the ovary that is a metastasis of a GI malignancy, usually stomach cancer. Cytological examination often reveals mucoid degeneration and many large cells shaped like signet rings. Also called carcinoma mucocellulare.
