karyocyte

karyocyte /ker″ē·əsīt′/ [Gk, karyon, nut + kytos, cell] , a normoblast, or developing red blood cell, with a nucleus condensed into a homogenous staining body. It is normally found in the red bone marrow. The term is not in common usage.
