ischiofemoral ligament, a ligament that reinforces the posterior aspect of the fibrous membrane that encloses the hip. It is attached medially to the ischium, just posteroinferior to the acetabulum, and laterally to the ischial tuberosity deep to the iliofemoral ligament.
