interleukin-11 (IL-11)

interleukin-11 (IL-11), a cytokine produced by bone marrow stromal cells. IL-11 stimulates megakaryocytopoiesis, activates osteoclasts, inhibits epithelial cell proliferation and apoptosis, and inhibits macrophage function.
