hypertensive retinopathy

hypertensive retinopathy [Gk, hyper + L, tendere, to stretch, rete + net, web; Gk, pathos, disease] , a condition in which retinal changes occur in association with arterial hypertension. The changes may include blood vessel alterations, hemorrhages, exudates, papilledema, and retinal edema.
