Gerson diet, a detoxification diet, claimed to be useful in the treatment of cancer, allergies, and a wide variety of degenerative diseases, consisting of large quantities of organically grown fruits and vegetables, consumed mainly in the form of juice. It is often combined with other complementary therapies. The Gerson therapy has not been approved by the FDA for use as a treatment for cancer or any other disease.
