glycosuria

glycosuria /glī′kōso͝or″ē·ə/ [Gk, glykys + ouron, urine] , abnormal presence of a sugar, especially glucose, in the urine. Glycosuria can result from the ingestion of large amounts of carbohydrate, or it may be caused by endocrine or renal disorders. It is a finding most routinely associated with diabetes mellitus. −glycosuric, adj.
