febrile/cold agglutinins test, blood tests used to diagnose infectious diseases and some neoplastic diseases. The febrile agglutinins serological studies are used to diagnose salmonellosis, rickettsial diseases, brucellosis, tularemia, and some leukemias and lymphomas, whereas cold agglutinins are found in patients infected by Mycoplasma pneumoniae, influenza, mononucleosis, rheumatoid arthritis, and lymphomas.
