erythroplasia of Queyrat

erythroplasia of Queyrat /erith′rōplā″zhə/ [Gk, erythros + plasis, forming; Louis A. Queyrat, French dermatologist, 1856–1933] , an in situ squamous cell carcinoma on the glans or corona of the penis. It is a shiny, velvety, well-circumscribed reddish patch on the skin. It is usually excised surgically. See also Bowen’s disease.
