erector spinae reflex

erector spinae reflex [L, erigere, to erect, spina, spine, reflectere, to bend back] , a reflex characterized by contraction of the sacrospinalis and other back muscles when the overlying skin is stimulated. Also called dorsal reflex, lumbar reflex.
