agnathocephaly /ag·nath′əsef″əlē/ [Gk, a + gnathos + kephale, head] , a congenital malformation characterized by the absence of the lower jaw, defective formation of the mouth, and placement of the eyes low on the face with fusion or approximation of the zygomas and the ears.
